Kręta 4, Jelenia Góra
Poland
Imagine winter as you remember it from years past – calm, quiet, smelling of wood and hot tea after a day spent outdoors.
Such winters are rare these days, but in the mountains, you can still find them – on snowy hiking trails, in the soft crunch of cross-country skis, in the warmth of hands shaping clay, and in the aroma of shared meals.
We invite you to a unique winter retreat where nature, movement, and creativity meet in one place. That’s exactly the kind of time that awaits you at Kręta 4.
KARKONOSZE – WHERE TIME slowes down.
Jagniątków, the village where the guesthouse is located, sits at the foot of Karkonosze National Park.
This is where trails begin—leading through picturesque valleys, waterfalls, and snow-covered paths offering breathtaking mountain views.
In winter, the area turns into a peaceful white wonderland – perfect for hiking, cross-country skiing, and connecting with nature in its purest form.
what do the owners of the house say?
“We open our home to you – a space filled with quiet and character.
Your ears might need a moment to adjust to the silence surrounding this old, pre-war house – one that’s seen both World Wars and the sinking of the Titanic.
The floor creaks, and parking cars requires some Tetris skills.
But we have the smell of freshly baked challah, honey from my father’s hives, and so many trails that you can take a different one every day.
Spend your time in the sauna, cold plunging, sitting by the fire – or simply doing nothing at all.”

PATRYCJA
Hi, I’m Patrycja! One half of Mellowbreak :)
Together with Magda, we’re organizing another trip for you, where we hope to combine creative time, contact with nature, and movement.
Anyone who’s met me knows that whenever I can, I pack a backpack and hit the road – and this time, we’ll do it together :) During our adventure, I’ll share interesting facts, safety tips, practical advice, and stories from my previous journeys.
In my daily life, I work creatively, so I love bringing a bit of that inventive approach to our hikes too. After all, who says movement can’t be playful and imaginative?
I’m also currently taking a course in self-massage and body rolling, so I’ll be happy to show you how to strengthen your muscles before activity and help them relax after an intense day on the trail.
And of course, I’ll make sure there’s good coffee for the journey! Because what’s a trip without drip bags and aromatic coffee with a view…

Magda
Hi, I’m Magda —
the other half of Mellowbreak.I’m an enthusiast of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda, which I try to incorporate into my everyday life. A few years ago, I found balance not only through my daily yoga practice but also through working with clay.
During the retreat, I’ll share with you what’s closest to my heart – combining meditation, mindful movement, and creative work with clay. One day, we’ll also meet in the kitchen to put the principles of Chinese Medicine into practice through shared cooking and preparing for spring.
In my approach, I blend Vinyasa Yoga (YTT 200h) and Synergy Yoga (100h), where gentle movement connects with the breath, guided by the motto: “tense less, stretch less, breathe less” – to create a sustainable and balanced practice.

Marta
Hi, I’m Marta. For many years, I’ve been on a journey toward myself — sometimes pausing for a while, sometimes stumbling, but always moving forward :). One of my discoveries along the way has been Classical Chinese Medicine. I first saw an acupuncture needle 20 years ago, and I used one myself for the first time 15 years ago. A long time has passed, yet my fascination and admiration have only grown.
It’s with great pleasure that I invite you on an adventure called a healthy and fulfilling life. I’ll lead a workshop on Chinese Medicine, sharing its principles with you, but above all, teaching practical techniques that you can use right away to make your life healthier — and therefore better.
See you soon :)

what people say:
-
“I feel fulfilled 🤍
Everything was exactly as it should be: without pressure, with space for each of us individually and for all of us together.” -
“Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful space a place to rest, exchange energy, and recharge.
Four days in a beautiful setting, surrounded by extraordinary women.
Summer slowly giving way to autumn, the sun mingling with rain, and the sky offering a theatre of mist.
I was nourished by delicious food, meaningful conversations, honest laughter, and mountain views.
Wrapped in the softness of yin and the surrender of nidra.
I return fulfilled, cocooned in gratitude for every taste of this time.
Thank you 🤍”
